Caitlyn Jenner Claims Rich Friends Are ‘Fleeing California Because Of Homeless People’

Caitlyn Jenner has claimed her rich friends are ‘fleeing California’ because of the growing number of homeless people.

The Republican, who recently announced she is running for California governor, made the comments during an interview with Fox News’ Sean Hannity.

She said: “My friends are leaving California.

“Actually, my hangar – the guy right across, he was packing up his hangar and I said, ‘Where are you going?’ And he says, ‘I’m moving to Sedona, Arizona. I can’t take it anymore. I can’t walk down the streets and see the homeless’.”

Her comments have received a huge backlash online, with many saying the former Olympian is ‘out of touch’.

One person wrote on Twitter: “Caitlyn Jenner claims her friends are leaving California because of homeless people.

“Imagine being so wealthy and out of touch that your pitch to voters is ‘my rich friends are leaving the state so they don’t have to see homeless people’.”

Another added: “Caitlyn Jenner tells Fox News‘ Sean Hannity the heartbreaking story of a neighbour, so traumatized by having to see homeless people on his way to his private jet, that he had to move to Sedona. Poor guy.”

It’s not the first time Jenner’s comments have landed her in hot water.

Last week, the reality TV star said she believes trans girls should not be allowed to partake in female sports.

She told a reporter: “It just isn’t fair, and we have to protect girls’ sports in our schools.

“It’s an issue of fairness and we need to protect girls’ sports.”

Many people have taken issue with her views as she is a wealthy, trans, former Olympian.

“Caitlyn Jenner is upset because of homeless people near her private jet,” wrote one person. “She wants to be a role model for the trans kids she’d like banned from athletics. She loves Trump without mentioning a single achievement. She’s a Republican, running on hate and refusing to answer questions.”
