Dua Lipa fans were injured at her concert in Toronto last night after ‘unauthorised fireworks were set off,’ according to reports.

The 26-year-old singer was apparently closing her show at the Scotiabank Arena when the incident happened.

According to reports, fans thought this was part of the show but it did not take long for them to realise what was actually happening and they quickly fled to the seated area.

In an apology uploaded to her Instagram stories, Lipa said the following: “Creating a safe and inclusive space at my shows is always my first priority, and my team and I are just as shocked and confused by the events as you all are.

“There is an ongoing investigation into the events being conducted and everyone involved is working hard to find out how this incident occurred.

“Bringing the show to life for my fans has been such an amazing experience, and I’m so deeply sorry for anyone who was scared, felt unsafe or whose enjoyment of the show was affected in any way.”

It is reported that at least three people suffered minor injuries and were seen by medics, but they did not require further medical assistance.

One person in attendance told People magazine: “It was at the end, during her final song, and confetti was already out, so we thought it was part of the finale.

“No one was fazed by it other than the people in the pit, [but it was] hella scary.”

The BRIT award-winning artist is currently in the midst of her Future-Nostalgia world tour, which will conclude in Perth this November.

The show shares the same name as the 2020 chart-topping album.
