Scientologist Elisabeth Moss has spoken out on the alleged Leah Remini ‘snub,’ which was reported to have taken place at a 2017 awards show.
The Handmaid’s Tale star has responded to claims that she ignored Remini around the time she won the 2017 Television Critics Association Awards for her series, Scientology and the Aftermath.
Chatting to the New Yorker, she claimed: “I went to the bathroom. I wish it was more exciting than that.”

Moss went on to address the former Scientologist’s claims that she ‘can’t talk’ to her, adding: “I have never been approached by her.
“I have never received any request to talk to her. So there hasn’t been an opportunity for her to say that.
“I don’t know her that well, so it’s not like we were friends.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Moss said that the highly controversial religion is ‘misunderstood’ and that actually, it’s ‘very open’.
She explained: “It’s a place that is very open to, like, welcoming in somebody who wants to learn more about it. I think that’s the thing that is probably the most misunderstood.”

Moss added that she can’t ‘control’ other people’s perceptions of the religion, saying: “People can obviously hold in their mind whatever they want to, and I can’t control that. If it’s not that, it’s going to be something else.”
In a 2017 interview, Remini reportedly slammed Moss to The Hollywood Reporter and alleged the actress continues to support an ‘abusive’ group.
The King of Queens star is believed to have said: “I don’t hold anything against Elisabeth Moss other than she’s continuing to support a group that is abusive and destroying families.
“That’s for her to learn – just as I needed to learn it.”
