Emilia Clarke has replaced Amber Heard as Mera from Aquaman in a stunning image.
Heard, 37, starred as Mera in the first movie back in 2018 and is due to star in the sequel, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, later this year.
However, more than 4.6 million Aquaman fans petitioned for Heard to be removed from the film following her ex-husband Johnny Depp’s high-profile defamation case against her.
The idea of replacing Heard is now going viral once again a stunning fan image shows the Game of Thrones actress, 36, replacing her as Mera.

Designer Diego de Sousa recently shared his interpretation of what Clarke would look like in the role.
His concept has accumulated more than 2,000 likes and hundreds have taken to the comments to say the actress would be a great casting choice.
One writes: “I’m here for it.”
Agreeing, a second says: “Yes, this must become reality!”
“Only then will I see the movie,” comments another.

While a fourth says: “For sure she is a better Mera than Amber Heard.”
“Yesss, come on Warner Brothers,” someone else writes. “Make it happen!”
Clarke isn’t just being suggested as a replacement because of the whole Heard drama.
It’s also because she starred in Game of Thrones alongside Jason Momoa, 44, and fans loved their chemistry.

Momoa portrayed Arthur Curry, or Aquaman, in the previous Aquaman movie and is set to reprise the role later this year.
Discussing the prospect, one fan pens: “Emilia Clarke would be a great recasting choice!
“She and Jason Momoa will have better chemistry on screen, as they do off-screen than he and Amber Heard did on screen – which didn’t feel like much to me.”
Another adds: “Emilia Clarke and Jason Momoa’s chemistry will be dope… since they worked together before in GOT.”
Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is set for a Christmas 2023 release date, according to Deadline.
The outlet claims the film was originally set for March 2023, however, there have apparently been delays.

The superhero movie, which is based on DC Comics, is set to follow Aquaman as he forms an alliance with an unlikely ally in order to save Atlantis and the rest of the planet.
