A TikTok influencer has begged fans for money after claiming she ‘accidentally’ spent $100,000 on a couch.

Quenlin Blackwell (@quenblackwell), 21, explained the alleged mishap in a teary-eyed video posted to the platform.

Sobbing hysterically, she claimed she entered her card details in order to place an online bid for a sofa.

Blackwell, whose clip has been viewed a staggering 7.3 million times at the time of writing, claimed she entered the bid ‘as a joke’ and wasn’t actually serious about purchasing it.

She reportedly ended up buying the pricey piece of furniture and her account was charged $100,000 (£88,000).

From her car, crying, Blackwell claimed: “I have to pull over right now because I’m about to f***ng throw up.

“I just put an offer on a couch, and I was joking. I was joking, but I put in my card information, and it just charged my f***ing account.

“I almost crashed my car when I saw it.”

Blackwell then asked her fans to donate so that the financial burden would be eased.

“If you have a million dollars, can you please donate? Can you please donate, please?” she begged.

“If you have a million dollars, can you let me borrow some, please?”

Blackwell captioned the dramatic video: “I can’t inhale.”

Commenters on TikTok had little sympathy for Blackwell – who has 7.9 million followers – saying they couldn’t understand why she had entered her card details if she didn’t actually want to buy it.

One person wrote: “How [do] you joke with your card info?”

“Girl call the bank and say it was a fraud,” advised another.

A third said: “That’s what you get for having 100,000 dollars.”

“Nah, the fact your card didn’t decline it instantly or freeze your account says a lot about how much money you really got though,” added a fourth.

Others asked to see the outrageously priced couch and asked why it commanded such a hefty price tag.

In a follow-up clip, still hysterical, Blackwell told her followers that she was joining the adult site OnlyFans in an attempt to recoup some of the money.

She claimed: “I don’t want to, but I’m going to have to,” adding that she also required money for dental work and to replace a wing mirror on her car.

“I don’t want to do a job. I’m about to throw up because I know they didn’t refund me.”

Several people have questioned the legitimacy of the video, or if it was just an excuse to promote her new OF account.

One fan replied: “Lmao y’all she fooled us, she ain’t buy no 100,000 couch, she just wanted an excuse to start her OFs. Good acting tho Quen.”

Another wrote: “Excuse for an OFs page or trying to get money from her supporters!”

Blackwell later shared a picture of an old couch on her Twitter and a TikTok video of the furniture featuring the song ‘Entry of the Gladiators’.

The song, composed by Julius Fucik, is commonly associated with clowns and the circus.

This caused many fans to believe that the influencer was confirming the whole saga was a joke.

“I’m onto you… you’re a marketing genius to be honest,” one TikTok user wrote in response.
