Jennifer Aniston has confirmed a long-standing David Schwimmer rumour on live television.
Both Aniston, 54, and Schwimmer, 57, starred in Friends as Rachel Green and Ross Geller for 10 seasons between 1994 and 2004.
Friends is a beloved sitcom that follows the lives, relationships and humorous escapades of six close-knit friends living in New York City.
They navigated careers, romance and the challenges of adulthood, all while providing endless laughs and heartwarming moments.
In an intriguing revelation that has ignited a fresh wave of intrigue among fans, Aniston has brought to light the long-standing rumour concerning her relationship with her former co-star, Schwimmer.
During a captivating segment on an episode of Live with Kelly and Mark, Aniston, in a re-broadcast of an interview initially aired in March, candidly delved into the enigmatic dynamics that defined their on-screen romance.
As the beloved duo portrayed the iconic characters Geller and Green, their on-off relationship captivated audiences worldwide.

Yet, curiosity had often lingered: did the palpable chemistry between the two extend beyond the confines of the television screen?
The answer, it seems, has finally emerged.
This isn’t the first instance of such admissions, as the pair had earlier touched upon their unspoken sentiments during the Friends: The Reunion documentary in 2021.
During the documentary, Schwimmer candidly confessed to nurturing a ‘major crush’ on Aniston during the show’s inaugural season, a sentiment that Aniston corroborated.
Reflecting on those days, Schwimmer explained: “At some point, we were both crushing hard on each other, but it was like two ships passing because one of us was always in a relationship, and we never crossed that boundary. We respected that.”

Previous interviews had also seen Aniston vowing that their affection remained unrequited once the cameras ceased rolling.
“He was lovely, David was great,” she said during a 2021 interview with Howard Stern.
“But no, we never, on my life [got together]… We were in relationships, and it was always never the right time, and it wouldn’t have worked.”
But now, it looks as though Aniston has finally confirmed the rumour…
In the viral clip that has set social media ablaze, host Kelly Ripa broached the topic and said: “In the early years, you [and Schwimmer] had a crush on each other.”
Aniston swiftly validated the speculation, declaring: “Yes we did.”
The revelation sparked cheers from the audience, underlining the enduring fascination surrounding the show’s central pair.
As the conversation unfolded, Aniston elaborated, emphasising the distinction between their real-life sentiments and the fictional narrative they portrayed.
“We just let it play out on TV,” she said, alluding to how they navigated the complexities of their character’s relationship.
The disclosure gathered momentum as Ryan Seacrest, who has temporarily taken the reins from Mark Consuelos as co-host, sought further insight.
Seizing the opportunity, Seacrest probed: “So, was your first kiss a TV kiss?”
Aniston replied: “Yes.”
The conversation took an amusing turn as Ripa inquired whether the experience was peculiar.
Aniston then revealed: “Well, no, it was quite enjoyable, actually.”
She added: “Sure enough, the first time we kissed was in that coffee shop, so we just channelled all of our love and adoration for each other into Ross and Rachel.”
The revelation, despite laying to rest certain speculations, has done little to quell the fervour of devoted fans who continue to worship the duo online.
