Johnny Depp had a surprising reaction during his multi-million defamation lawsuit against ex-wife Amber Heard when it was claimed that he’s ‘obsessed with Elon Musk’.
The actor appeared to be smirking when his former spouse’s lawyer, Elaine Bredehoft, made the comment in the Virginia courtroom.
Addressing the civil jury of 11 people, she reportedly claimed: “In addition to that, she was also dating Elon Musk by this time, you will find out that Mr Depp is obsessed with Elon Musk.

“She was dating him, so he gave $500,000 to both of those charities in her honour.
“Now she doesn’t claim that is part of the $7million, but what happens is that she makes her payments up through 2018, Mr Depp sues her March 1 2019 and she can’t afford right now to be making those pledges she has to defend herself. But she has every intention of continuing to make those payments… She will give it to them once she is able to afford it again.”
Depp has taken Heard to court over a 2018 article from The Washington Post in which he believes it was implied he is an abuser, despite not being named.

The 33-year-old’s lawyer has reportedly told the jury that her claims against the actor are true, with her allegations being protected by the First Amendment.
Heard’s attorney, Ben Rottenborn, reportedly accused Depp of trying to ‘wreck’ his former wife’s career.
It’s believed he stated: “For years, all Mr Depp has wanted to do is humiliate Amber, to haunt her, to wreck her career.”
For the case, Elon Musk was reportedly listed as a potential witness for the Aquaman star, alongside celebrities such as James Franco, Ellin Barkin, and Paul Bettany.
In the 2020 libel case between Depp and Heard, the now 58-year-old claimed that Heard had had an affair with the Tesla CEO.
