One said: “Glad for you, my dad came out of the hospital last Wednesday and he’s now on a stoma.

“He’s getting better slowly, keep going you got this!”

In response, the 46-year old joked: “Has he named his stoma?

“So sorry to hear that. It’s not unbeatable though. Avoid general googling stuff. However, @macmillancancer and cancerresearchuk.org are essential reading after a diagnosis.

“It’ll help you process things and understand your results and next steps as they happen.”

The barman has regularly kept fans updated on his battle with the disease.

Recently, he posted an update from his hospital bed on Instagram and captioned the post: “2am. Tubes outta everywhere. Aches and pains. But no tumour!”

Taking to Twitter, he also shared the same image, writing: “Thank you #NHS for literally saving my life. #BowelCancerAwarenessMonth.”

Griffiths first announced his stage three bowel cancer diagnosis back in September 2021.

In an interview with the Sunday Mirror, he revealed how he told his daughter, saying: “I said, ‘Dad’s got cancer’. She said, ‘Is that bad, dad?’.

“I said, ‘Yes, it’s very serious but I think it should be okay. Modern medicine’s great and if anything changes I’ll let you know’.

“She understands that people can die but I told her cancer comes in different varieties and in different ways too – and that many people come through it.”
