Rochelle Humes has been criticised by This Morning viewers after offering advice on what to do during the cost of living crisis.
It all started when she and co-host Vernon Kay were joined by consumer journalist Alice Beer, and the three of them provided solutions about how people can save money at home.
However, viewers were critical of Humes, who felt she was ‘out of touch’ with her comments.

On Twitter, one person commented: “I think I would take these money-saving tips more seriously, if Rochelle wasn’t all over Instagram in her designer clothes and nails, on her posh holidays cooking M&S food lol, no offence (and fair play to you) but you literally haven’t got to worry about any of this.”
Someone else posted: “Money Saving tips on #ThisMorning featuring Rochelle who’s just shared a million photographs of her extravagant lavish vow renewal in Italy. It’s just out of touch.”
“Rochelle smiling casually whilst talking about the cost of living. You don’t need to worry about anything clearly,” commented a third user.
‘I genuinely don’t want to be the person saying this … but on the 1st January, we’re currently expecting to see the price cap rise by another 51% … which will take someone on typical use to over £5,300 a year’@MartinSLewis #ThisMorning pic.twitter.com/D4f31SxYOO

A fourth person posted: “Rochelle is very unpopular with viewers trying to stay relevant when all she does is constantly brag and show off her designer items on Instagram! And get paid by M&S for promoting their products and receive free food.”
Although Humes was scrutinised in particular, the segment as a whole was poorly received, with viewers saying it felt like they were being ‘spoken down to’.

Beer was offering money-saving advice such as turning all electronic devices off instead of leaving them on standby, and not over-filling the kettle when using it.
However, viewers did not find this helpful and voiced their frustration on social media, with one person commenting: “Alice, no one appreciates your stupid advice, it’s like being spoken down to.”
Another agreed, commenting: “So here is Alice Beer telling us some money-saving tips I wonder if she thinks the nation doesn’t have any common sense.”
