‘Strictly’s’ Nadiya Bychkova Slams Dan Walker ‘Kissing’ Rumours

Strictly Come Dancing’s Nadiya Bychkova has slammed the Dan Walker ‘kissing’ rumours that have been circulating. 

According to The Sun, the dancing pair have been overwhelmed with false gossip about their relationship since Bychkova reportedly comforted the TV presenter backstage.

Determined to put the rumours to bed, the Ukrainian dancer has insisted that BBC Breakfast host, who has been married for twenty years, is just a ‘great friend’ who happened to be feeling ’emotional’.

In a chat with the publication, she explained: “It was a very difficult day for Dan. It was a full-on week in general, a lot of work, and it had made him emotional.

“He had filmed an interview and was watching that video. We became really good friends during these 11 or 12 weeks and it was a tough day for him. I was glad I was there for him.

“Sometimes you need a friend just to be there and there was nothing I could do other than be there for him. It just happened to be the same day as the live show.”

Bychkova then addressed images of herself crying in a taxi, explaining that they were ‘happy tears’.

She continued: “They were happy tears because I’d had a great year. It’s always emotional because you put in so much of your time and energy but it’s all very positive. I made a great friend. It feels like we’ll stay friends for life.

“Dan is probably one of the kindest people on this planet. He is very caring and always looking after other people. He is selfless and a gentleman.”

The 32-year-old then revealed why she and Walker won’t be taking part in the Strictly Come Dancing tour next year.

She claimed: “Daniel is just super busy. He has too many commitments and jobs. It’s almost a month and a half with all the rehearsals and he just can’t do it but I’m sure we will go and watch one of the shows together and with the whole family.”
